Chainlink node operator, feeding data to oracle networks on Ethereum.
Chainlink is a decentralized oracle network that brings off chain data to smart contracts. Chainlink price feeds underpin a significant part of the DeFi market.
Inotel has been a Chainlink node operator on mainnet since October 2020, contributing to the price reference data feeds.
Being a node operator does not involve delegation. The node runs on our infrastructure, and the data it publishes is aggregated on chain together with that of the other operators.
What the node operator role means
The node pulls data from external sources, signs it and submits it to the aggregator contract. Several independent operators report the same value, and the final result is the median of their answers. That way no single operator can move the published price.
